One of the mistakes most of us made and are still making about purpose discovery is the fact that the majority of us went to our various schools of study to go study one course or the other without first discovering our purpose in life.
In most cases, it is when we are out of school before we can start looking for a purpose to fulfill with what we studied in school.
This is not supposed to be so. Most of us made the same mistake in life before we were able to correct it. And i do not want you to also make that same mistake many of us made in life.
Another major mistake people often do make about purpose discovery and God's calling in life, Is the fact that many people often believed that calling or purpose discovery can only be fulfilled on the pulpit, as a pastor or as an evangelist, or as an apostle, etc. We often do believe that when someone says he or she has a call from God, or that he or she has discovered their purpose in life, it simply means that they are all called to be a pastor, or a prophet, or an evangelist, etc.
The truth is everyone, in one way other other has a call from God. We all have a purpose to discover and to fulfill in life. But Not all-purpose is designed to be fulfilled on the pulpit like a pastor, or an apostle, or an evangelist.
There are other sectors where people can serve God and still fulfill God's purpose for their life. Some are called into the marketplace, to some, it is to the music industry, to others it is to the entertainment industry. To another, it is to the economic sector, etc.
Another major mistake of purpose discovery over time is the fact that the majority of people claiming to have a call from God don't always know the purpose for their call. They don't seem to know what the purpose for the call they claim to have heard is about.
The truth is there can never be a call without the purpose of the call. It is just like how when our parent or anyone else called us, the first question to ask is to know what is the reason for the call. We often want to know what they want us to do for them that they are calling us.
In the same like, for us to be able to function well in the area of our calling in life, we must first seek to know the purpose for our calling in life. We should be able to understand what is required of us in our call. We should also be able to know what tools or gifts we have been given to function in our area of purpose in life.
